Yurkos song of the day: One More- by Journey

9 More days!!

When evil's afoot, and you don't have any arms, you've got to do a little leg work. And when evil's ahead, and you're a little behind, you've got to stay hip. You've got to keep on your toes! You've got to kick a little--
- The Tick

Ive decided to open each post with a humourous quote, well just so long as i have humourous quotes to place there. Yeah so that little concept should last all of about 3 posts but hey its something to do, and its not like ive got anything else better to put there. Going into day two here for this 5 day weekend, great fun is had by all mostly due to the sleepage. Speaking of stuff thats sleep inducing.. on with the post!

Went to HMV yesterday (finally) and picked up my much searched for and coveted Journey CD. yes i know im an odd one but hey its a good album and well yeah i bought it. Sad though that they didnt have the very best of sting (me being the only person that i know of who actually likes his music) but hey at least they had the best of phil collins so its alll goood. So yes im sure that you will be seeing a great deal more journey songs up there in the songs of the day, that being due to the fact that ive been listening to that album; not to say thats all your going to see because ive also started listening to the Beatles anthologies again, great great music.

I was rather bored last night so my thinking was Heeeyyy Lets rent some movies. SO thusly i went to Rogers and got what was a Double Team of Bill Murray greatness with special guest Gene Wilder. (aka rented Osmosis Jones, Lost in Translation and Young Frankestien). Started off the night with osmosis, which is a pretty funny movie but defenetly better suited to an older audience (jeeze i could easily see kids getting freaked out in that one) but the idea and concept was cool enough to make up for any of its shortcomings. Next followed Lost in Translation, which as you might recall i had mentioned wanting to see it yesterday. I had no idea that it was out on video already but loe and behold it was so rented it i did. And let me tell you, this movie was pure and utter refined greatness. It was witty, thought provoking, original and somewhat quirky which is all the stuff i just love in a movie. Bill Murray was great in this film, showing that he could be funny if he wanted to but just didnt feel like it (that and the scene with the masseus and the "rip my stockings" should shurley go down in history as a classic moment in film). After seeing the movie though i am now very confident that Murray should win every award he has been nominated for with that role because its just that damn good. DAMN GOOD!!
I then moved on from that slightly quieter, more though provoking movie to a film that i almost pissed myself from laughing so hard. This of course being from the comedic genius that was Young Frankestien. It is by far now my favourite Mel Brooks movie, mostly due to the great acting from Gene Wilder (dr frankenstien), the guy who played igor (dont remeber his name) and a hilarious cameo by Gene Hackman. Just the god like comedic timing of everyone in this movie, the great facial expressions, how deadpan Gene wilder did most of the stuff; it just all combined into a truly great film. (this of course having alot to do with how hard i laughed throughout the entire 106 min. and believe me i havent laughed this hard for almost a year). hoooo boy i still start chuckling when i think of that movie ("walk this way master.. no this way!"). good good fun was had by all last night.

Well thats basically all i did yesterday, other than learn some new songs in Guitar and buy a book but im pretty sure that no one is really all that interested in that. Oh and btw Jenn, its great to know that you "Have no money to go to a money" but well besides the fact that it makes no sense (and gave me a good laugh this morning) just remeber as the French say "Ta mère en short!" or in English "Your mother out of shorts!" hehehe, sorry i find that funny. Yet again something that no ones gets and makes no sense at all but hey so sue me!
Yeah so im done,

Till next Ramble
