Yurkos song of the day: Brand New Day - by Sting

Greetings and saluations all to the new and "improved" site of Yurkos stupid rambling. As i am sure you can all tell the layout is considerable different from the site of old. I would like to think that its a little cleaner, more organized and rather snazzy but hey thats just my opinion talking. All of the stuff found on the old site are still lurking around on here, although my only complaint is that the archives to older posts that no one reads anyways now has to have a link to a separate site but hey thats life, what ya gonna do. ummm what else.. Oh yeah, the comments part (recently renamed "Potshots at Yurko" ) is now found at the bottom of each post instead of at the top, this being a part of this new template; so hopefully you people who dont comment anyways will remeber to say somethin there even if it is located in a different spot that before. All the old links are still there, neatly organized into my usless sites that I frequent and friends sites. Hit counter is still there, as is the pointless guestbook that no one ever signs and i never read (so why its there i have noooo idea but hey it is ). The only really major new thing minus the fancy colours to grace the site is the chatbox dealie on the right hand portion of the site. Appearantly its some other form of commenting or something, yet again its a thing that came with the new layout so if you leave a msg there ok but if not i wont really care all that great of a deal. Personally i would prefer if you leave your coments in the tired and true comment system found at the bottom of the post but hey there aint much that i can do about it.

well thats enough talking about just the superficial parts of the site, now on to the life of Yurko latley. Well first things first swimming is coming to a close finally (yay) because god damn does it ever leave me exhausted for the rest of the week. Not really looking forward to the meet but hey its a conclusion to the swimming so thats always a good thing. Umm went to the car show last night, was pretty good fun esp all the drooling over the cars that im not gonna be getting for a looonnnnggg while (if ever) aka the beautiful Porsche Carrerra or the BMW Z4 (which sadly i cant fit in, damn my hight). But hey it was a good way to spend the night (TITAN!!). erhem yeaaahh.
Currently my musical obsession has been that of the Police. Damn good music i tells ya, damn good. Gotta love the 80's New Wave. Only problem is that what with having only 5 albums it kinda limits the musical greatness to not as many songs as say the Beatles but hey i still enjoy it. On that note of music i thought id mention this one online petition that a friend of mines cousin set up. Basically its to try and get Rush to come to calgary on their latest tour. Now i must admit that im not really the worlds biggest Rush fan but hey if they were to come i would definetly go and see them (esp if i got free tickets) but regardless if u like them or not it would help if you went to the site and signed the petition because any name helps http://www.petitiononline.com/ilr2122/petition.html .

Well during this week and a bit ive came to a few realisations. Firstly a while back i had one of those moments of almost total clarity that can only occur at 2 am on a tuesday night when your trying to get some god damn sleep... but yeah anywho i realised that well basically what happens in the past cant be changed minus the advent of a time machine but somehow i doubt that will come around for a while if ever. regardless it was a rather clarifying moment for me considering that i had been doing a great deal of bitching over what i should ahve done, what could have happened etc etc. With this in mind ive basically decided that well that life and time keeps on a going no matter what i do and well its better to look towards what i can do than what i should ahve done. This in mind i just think that i should also state that well no longer do i feel remorse and/or anger towards what i missed out on doing waay back at jenn's party. He had the guts and drive to ask what i should have and well i missed my chance and he took it so for that i tip my hat. Happy about it? of course not but well theres nothing i can do about it, she made the choice and well it all comes down to what will happen in the future.

Pretty sure there was some other stuff that i had planned on talking about but the fact is i dont remeber, im getting a cold and im damn tired. So methinks im gonna go lie down and watch Futurama Season 3 (which i happily just got today, yay animated goodness). So yeah this is the end of this for today.
