All of my compounded knowledge derived from lazy sunday watchings of much more music and listening to the evolution of music on sonic caused me to have a startling but somewhat obvious realisation. Music is always in a state of flux and at some point this great music scene that i loves will come to an end of sorts. A very saddening state of affairs considering how much music and the subculture defines me now. All I can hope for is that it lasts until I have officially recieved my 'Suprise! Your Old!" card in the mail and that whatever replaces it is just as good if not evolutionary better. I am fully aware how foolish it would be to hope to remain active in the live music viewing well into my 30's but that doesnt mean i cant enjoy music from the comfort of my home. Therefor for old chris's (i really need to learn how to pluralise things properly) sake I plead now to the gods of rock and/or roll that the death of indie either brings about something along the lines of super indie or something unforseen but still as cool.
Heck just so long as its not a spiritual sucessor to grunge, pop punk, punk (nothing really against punk its just not my cup of tea/doesnt really represent my mentality towards life) or emo I think everything will be ok.
Somewhat of a sad marker of my priorities when this is a concern. Oh well
