Yurkos song of the day: Ping Island/Lighting Strike Rescue Op - by Mark Mothersbaugh

Falster (n.) A long-winded, dishonest and completely incredible excuse used when the truth would have been completely acceptable.

Another new post probably filled with rambling will soon commense but until then a brief musical interlude.
*author begins listening to the music playing on his computer in the attempt to give some validity to a very lame joke*
Chances are this will be a somewhat pointless post involving me talking about music mostly because other than work that is the only thing i have really been able to devote any of my attention too. Well there is the obvious time spent playing video games because its what i do but i dont really think i need to go into any detail with that (All i will say is that Ground Control II is pure brilliance, esp when you can find it for 9 bucks like i did).
Funny and useable word from to ever so grand Deeper Meaning of Liff. My goal is to have at least one of you using one of these words regularly by the end of the summer so that some of the magic of Douglas Adams can be spread to the general populace (considering the H2G2 movie didnt seem to do the trick). The song for today is in my opinion one of the greatest ever made based on the sole condition that you have watched the Life Aquatic and futhermore enjoyed the film.

Like i said earlier my time has basically been devoted to my job and then coming home relaxing from standing for 8 hours straight. Yes i know im complaining like the wimp i am but hey this is my first foray into the strange world of the service industry so cut me some slack. Needless to say ive been listening to alot of music to and from work and most notably would be the new CD by Oasis and Coldplay. Both are really good albums in my opinion and i totally disagree with the hack reviewers the Hearald has working for them now. When your complaint against the new Oasis CD is the reason why every other reviewer is praising the album i tend to question your credibility. Oh well music comes down to what sounds good to your ears so to each their own. I still recomend both to all of you folks cause my recomendations count for so very much.

I just realised that I completely forgot to even mention what i thought of the new star wars. Overall it was far far better than the prior two in the prequels but it was still pretty bad compared to the classic ones. Enjoyable but there were many ways it could have been better. Conviently this sums up most of my complaints quite effectivly and in a far more amusing package than i could have ever managed. CLICK NOW
Speaking of Star Wars appearantly they are going to be releasing yet another book series which for me is a great thing. I've been a pretty big fan of the novel side of starwars since elementary (somehow and not suprisingly the books have been far greater quality than the movies) and after the New Jedi Order it didnt seem like there was anywhere else for them to go. So the fact that there will be more books for me to chew through in an afternoon is a cause of merriment and gives me something else to do other than just watching TV (Go out you say? Who the hell does that?).

Sticking to the semi-literature aspect what has really been chewing up the majority of my time lately has been some more rejoicing in the glories of my youth. I doubt any you would have hear of it least of which remeber it but back when i was a kid at least there was this brilliant comic series called Bone that I never managed to find out how it ended. Well the last time i was wandering the ol' illustrated newsprint emporium I happened across their last copy of the entire comic in one beautiful 1300 page tome of greatness. So being the person that I am when it comes to a great read ive been zooming through it over the last few days , preventing me from putting up this post yesterday as was my plan. Without seeing it for yourself its really hard to give the comic any justice but picture some great humour, beautiful art, various underlying themes and an epic scope up there with Lord of the rings all in the guise of a kids comic and i still havent explained it. Yes i know im gushing here and rambing on something you dont care about but then again its what i do. Hopefully this website will express it a bit better even though it is a pretty amaturish website but its the best i can do other than lending one of you the mighty mighty epic. Bone Website

Well I do believe I have wasted more than enough time here/I've forgotten about anything else worth discussing. Oh, a sight that did leave me very happy was that 7 11 is now selling the greatness that is Hires RootBeer again which hasnt been on the market in years. Its the best rootbeer availiable by far and its a nice site to see that it has returned in some form or another. Finally I believe i might have to step up my geekdom another notch and go see Batman Begins at the IMax in chinook just because its being offered, not to mention that its probably a far better use for the IMax than the 2 matrix sequels. Other than that I think I am done here

*Edit I just had to add these links being the developmental biology loser that I am, not to mention the sheer absurd humour in the first one. Enjoy!*
