Yurkos song of the day: Hurt- by Johnny Cash

"Tempers are wearing thin. Let's hope some robot doesn't kill everybody."

Yay again with the posting of pointless proportions! But before we start into todays ramblings i give you now the Kid's Size rendtion of Yurko's blog for April 28th. It is as you will see very short for those who have no attention span, made up of small words and spelt to perfection for ease of reading by those whos brains cannot look beyond spelling mistakes:
    Kids size!
    ---------------------------
    Yurko Is Happy!
    ---------------------------

There ya go kids, nice and short for ya! Now if you want you can scroll to the bottom and comment to you hearts content unless of course its past 7:30 and well i dont want to keep you up past your bedtime. So go get your parents permission and comment away!

Allrighty now that the little ones (as in easily distracted) are off to bed lets get into the post with more substance, aka length. Not much has occured since the last gargantuan post, a great deal of more of the same really. So im pretty sure that all of you have read enough of me talking about that so we just wont even mention it other than the fact that i realised that i really want to buy a lizard. Now how cool would that be huh? Pretty damn cool if you ask me, of course no one ever does so meh.
Good song today, one of those ones that give you goosebumps when listening to them, or watching the music video which is the sign of a well put together tune. Big thumbs up to you mr. cash.

Saw the second kill bill on the weekend, quite a bit different from the first one i must say. Not saying that its a bad movie in any regard but there was more focus on the dialouge in this one compared to the out and out blood and guts (which is still a great thing to partake in). Still kinda liked the first film better but overall a top notch effort from Quentin. That and the Kung Foo master guy has now taken a shared spot with the russian zombie from Hell Boy as THE MAN!! Mostly due to the quirky goatee/beard flipping dealie but man if he was in that movie more it would have been a total and utter classic.
Sticking with the theme of movies the first Terminator was on this weekend which brought up again my thoughs on how the movie buisness has gone down the crapper. Here you have two great films in a series, with a really cool dark image of the future that was rather intelligently thought out and with quite a bit of depth (only stuff by cameron that i actually like). Yet the moment the creators of the series dont make a movie it just devolves into a crap fest of standard action sequences, pot shots at itself (which completly kills the theme and feel of the first two) and a utter load of bullshit plot. Ahh but of course predictability makes more money than something cool and original so of course the movies become crap. Sigh... well ive bitched about this more than enough in the mega giganticus post so ill stop.

The fourth last episode of Angel is tonight... sigh the end quickly approaches. Last weeks was a really really great one, what with the cool chill down the spine feeling at the end and such. I would go into more detail buuutt clearly no one else watches the show or even cares about my griping about its end so ill just stop saying i hope it doesnt end such and so forth.

Well thats the end of this, told ya not much happened between now and the mega post so i guess ill be wrapping this up. Happy as hell though as i was able to find a copy of that game Full Throttle at Blockbuster last friday! (did you know blockbuster sold computer games? i sure didnt). So yes the circle of Lucasarts adventure gaming is now complete! Rejoice and such and so forth!!

Yurkos song of the day: Seperate Ways (World's Apart)- by Journey

"The Motorcity V8's Defeat the Music City Slide guitars"

    {Wow.. I just came back from the Future (as in posted this and decided to add on this little warning) and i just realised that this post is easily the longest in a while and might possibly top some of my Erin rants or the reigning king of the long my angry bashing of racism for length of a ramble. So please read cause well i did put work into this one and yes i realise its long so there is no need for 4 comments all saying "dear god this is long, im to lazy to read and comment" etc. etc. stuff to that extent. Plus this should happily allow me to regain my rightful place atop the throne as King of the long ass, very boring ramble; Hail to the King Baby!}

Hehe, oh man that quote. Yes i know many of you have probably already seen this quote if youve seen me online in the last little while but damnit it just had to make another showing. Hoo jeese though, gotta love those idiots commentating over at ABC, dear god who says something like this?? I must say though that it did make for a good amount of laughing after the detroit game (albeit after the sheer adaucity of the comment sunk it).. ah well tis all in good fun.
Here we are again with another post, running out of ways to start off the opening ish paragraph but im sure that you all will live. I guarantee that with this one i wont get easily distracted/lose intrestest as quickly as i did with those ones i made during the holidays and wuss out with a rather short (by yurko standards) post. No sireee bob, well mostly because ive got nothing else better to do and ill be damned if i do any homework..Hey is that a snowflake??......
hmm upon further inspection it appears to be a small duck flying east for the spring, so nothing all that interesting. Back to the post!

God today was long and/or boring. Hmm well actually it wasnt all that bad, minus physics which is the usual snore fest but what made it all the worse was english. Now here i am all pumped due to the teachers promises of a Movieish nature made prior to the holidays only to walk in and discover not a class of blissful non importance but a bloody reading comprehension test (which if you are unware are probably THE most boring tests known to man). Sigh, ah well hopefully she wont lie again and make us do work next class but ya never know (although seeing a movie about Saint Maybe isnt really the greatest of things to begin with). The fluke-fest known as Yurko writing essays contiuned today after getting back my social one and somehow pulling off a 100% which i must say came as a total shock, pretty sure this trend will end with the upcoming essay on Saint Maybe considering i doubt i can say anything nice about the book; or write something non half assed about a novel i hate but we shall wait and see.

Tonights flames game should make for a good showing of the hockeyish type. My prediction is a Vancouver win of 3-2 in regulation. Id love for our guys in red to triumph but somehow after blowing a bloody powerplay in overtime i have my doubts. Kinda hope that they win/lose tonight. The winning because well yay its calagary, chance to see more playoff hockey AND this being huge, a chance to see some Red Wings playoff hockey (which would be sweet). The bad part is that this would mean both my teams would be duking it out and honestly that would make for a tough time trying to cheer for both, or just one, or like anthony was saying go in wearing a black jersey and delcare myself the neutral party! yay neutrality!

Oh todays song, not sure if ive mentioned it before on here but it is BY FAR the ultimate Journey composition ever (my opinion of course). Damn good stuff here, so i really hope that any and all will download it cause its well great. On a side note i realised yet another bone headed move made by yours truly. This came as i was in a bored state last week reading through previous chat logs and came across one where i had just introduced said person to Journey. Now by this time the afformentioned song was already by far my favourite but i had forgotten it had 2 titles, remebering only the Separate Ways portion, not the Worlds apart. This of course meant that when the person says how much the love Worlds Apart instead of me lavishing on they "hey thats cool, it being my favourite song" etc etc i just say the canned response of oh thats neat or something like that. But hey i realised my mistake and im sure no one else will remeber least of all with whom i am talking about that or they wont read this making the whole last paragraph pointless...did i mention its a good song?

Gonna go watch Kill Bill Vol. 2 next week, and if its anything like the greatness that was the first it shouldnt dissapoint. One of those movies though where you definetly have to check your brain at the door otherwise its ruined from the get go. Nothing wrong with a bit of mindless fun now and again, good for the intellect..or something. Speaking of movies, went and watched Mississippi Burning again when it was on A&E this weekend. Now this isnt a check your brain at the door film, no sir. Damn good one though, albeit it just refueled my hatred for the whole racism thing. Not to say that ive ever lost my unbridled hatred of anyone whom is racist its just that it refueled the burning passion behind it. Must say though that the end of that film is probably one of the most rewarding parts of any movie,tv show etc that i have ever watched when they are going around and arresting all the KKK members apart of the murders. Gotta love that feeling of justice being done and such. mmmm satisfying. BTW if you want to see my extent rant about racism, why its incredibly stupid etc just look back in the archives; cant remeber where bouts it is but its one of the earlier posts (and one of the longest).

Been watching a fair amount more of TV latley mostly of the incredibly stupid and/or silly variety. One of these fine shows is a delightful comedy program ive discovered on Comedy Network, its called Buzz and i must say that i havent laughed so damn hard in half an hour since the valentines day special on scrubs (hehe johnny the tackling alzheimers patient still brings up a chuckle). Its well deserving of its 18+ rating and 11:30 at night time slot but hey if you can stand the often swearing and are up for a bit of non-sensical humour the by all means check it out. And hey if you dont like it, dont hate me hate the comedy network. Sticking to the topic of TV just thought i would plug the show This just in again, considering that now ive found out when the new episodes are on; which also happily fills up the times slot vacated by the ever great Futurama (that being 8:30's on sunday). Great episode yesterday although ive came to the realisation that Victor will in no way shape or form like it considering the stance it takes upon bush (it being not of the shotgun in the crotch, dance on your dead body variety). Ah well, his loss; my gain and the monkeys evil arch nemisis..
Sticking with the topic of Victor (hes a good guy, just remeber some stuff i wanted to say) Ive came to the realisation (well by came i mean jenn did and i just agreed) that the perfect image of what he will be in 20 years is the Charachter Master Fnog on Futurama, what with the laugh and everything; if you dont know what im talking about well go and watch more TV damnit (and if you do, and know him well im sure you will see the resemblance)

Hmm, Ive also realised that after watching all the Back to the Future Movies that im adding a Delorian to my list of cars that i must buy once im old and rich. Sigh its too bad DMC had to go under cause damn it was a cool car what with the gull wings and ability to travel through time. Meh no worries ill just have to find one some day and restore it back to its 80's speed glory. DAMN COOL CAR

Yes i know ive complained quite a bit before about my up and coming guitar exam but well im doing it again. Sigh i am not looking forward to that beast considering the fact that ive got to have 26 scales memorized by then, along with 2 pieces, the ear training.. guh not cool in the slightest. Yes i know it doesnt require any sort of physical training such as a sport or dance competitions or what not but well ive never been all that great at the whole memorizing anything least of which 26 scales (and there cadences..DAMN YOU RCM) but i guess ill just have to slug through it, not get all the scales i need; fale the thing and never touch my guitar again. Meh its win win... wait no its not ... damn

Oh, has anyone seen the ads for the new Hitman game, Hitman:Contracts? cause dear freakin god does it look kick ass. Hmm of course the fact that im a rather biased person on this case, what with the liking of the other games and such i still think that the ads look pretty damn cool; and the game for that matter. Sigh too bad ive got such a crap ass computer that wont run the game anways but meh one can dream..err not about being a killer for hire..just getting the game.. Yurkos not that crazy. I Swear!
On a side note, no more Fileplanet bashing coming from Yurko as they seem to have finally gotten the whole waiting in line for a bloody download, public servers thing worked out considering that yes i did have to wait 73min to start a download but i was able to average around 1.5Mbps which is insanly fast for any sort of download. Kudos to you Fileplanet, now whether or not the game i downloaded works is another story (a revolutionary RTS, The world just ended!! to quote the burnside).

Hrmm ive also came to the realisation that latley ive become rather the grumpy old Miser. Which is a rather bad thing because im only 17 and well what the hell am i supposed to do when im retired now?? Damnit i even had the rocking chair and porch all picked out and everything. Of course if i were smart i would become much less grumpy or sarcastic so as to off set this but meh lifes to hard to change, that and those damn punk kids keep stepping on my lawn! Nah i kid, its not my plan to be a cranky old coot when im old, still kinda funny none the less though. But hey if you want to see Yurko far less cranky, crotchity and cranky/sarcastic then well tell me and ill be sure to scold you about your rock music and how you trample my lawn.

Saddened about the news concerning the up and coming next Bond movie. If you dont know what im talking about, well it was in the paper a few days back saying that Peirce wants to do another bond film (it would be his last) but he wants to make it more like the old 60's style Sean Connery Bonds, less over the top special effects and more actual cool spying and junk. Whats saddening about this is that the studio doesnt think that a movie based around more plot development and realistic spying would do well and would rather go the easy route with yet another craptastic overblown special effects epic with a bit of a movie tossed in. Too bad really because i have to agree that making a new bond movie more realistic would result in probably a much much cooler film; maby something along the lines of Goldeneye which was great.
This of course just goes to affirm my total lack of faith/disregard for the film industry as a whole. Yet another great movie license that could become even better thusly ruined because there more worried about making the quick and assured buck. Buisness sound i know, but as consumers i for one am getting very sick and tired of the constant unoriginal, mass produced crap for brains movies being churned out year after year. Now if only i had the chance to make some of the ideas i have for films come to light, but alas the chances of this are slim to nill... Hmm of course if my Master plan/dream ever comes into being then well it will be the truith but somehow i doubt that it ever will. What is this ultimate dream/plan of yurkos im sure you are all not asking? Well if enough of you ask what is this ultimate plan within oh say a comment (and by enough i mean more than 3) well then i shalt be sure to tell you in all its detail within a future post, get laughed at the stupdidty of it all, have my life long dream crushed and be forced to retreat back to within my shell...hmmm a shell eh? this will require some sort of plan.. a Master or Ultimate plan if you will..hmmm

Well i have basically used up everything i had planned to write about (whats sad is i actually had a list and everything... kinda creepy when you start planning a ramble...hmm last time i ever do that). Oh yes Jackie I watch Angel (thought this would be apperarnt after so many times ive talked about it on here) do you have a problem with that? Should my Penis go back into hiding from your unholy wrath? huh? Punk??...... Yeah im done so i guess i shalt wrap up this beast of a post (at least i hope its a long ass one cause thats what i was going for). err yeah well just remeber happiness is found on the back of a spoon!!

Yurkos song of the day: Be good to Yourself- by Journey

"Hey, I have an idea. Let's do that!"

Yes another mindless post coming straight at you from the mindless bored shmuck known as Yurko. MINDLESS!!!... yeah sorry im bored again so this will be entitled a short one but end up being long and rambling as is the usual case. So lets cut with the crap that is this opening and make with the ramble.

Gah i cant believe that i forgot to mention this on the last post. Jeeze i really should have remebered to considering that i was reading through the whole old chat logs and everything. Annywho ive decided that even more so than before the entire system of the Internet survey is a complete and utter load. This of course coming from me getting a 85% score upon a "dateability" survey. Lying punk ass of a survey i tells ya.. if i am supposedly that damn dateable the why in gods name am i still single? huh? riddle me that batman. Stupid survey, its probably in cahoots with that damn lying punk of an automsg (im on to you, you bastard). Regardless its total bull shit, total and utter (im not bitter... )

Moving right along.. Damn happy that Angels back again, albeit this being the last 6 episodes (well 5 now after last night). Kinda saddens you when you know that the show is ending and all. Regardless though i will enjoy them all untill the end when i will most likley put up a post bitching and complaining about how they killed such a great show that no one watched. Im kinda annoyed at how they wrote Gunn out of the show though, going with the whole sacrifice myself because im a mopy loser who used to be an ass kicker but got soft and doesnt care anymore. Really hope they dont do that to wesley, considering he used to be the second best charachter on that show, wise cracking, witty british ass kicker but has latley delved into the whole lets mope in shadow rooms and drink for 10min an episode..fun fun; Meh theres still Spike whos as sarcastic and hilarious as ever so its all good. Yay for talking about stuff that no one else but me knows waht im talking about..
Sticking to the whole TV theme ive discovered a new show thats really damn good. It being "This Just In" on Spike TV. A truly hilarious animated politcal cartoon and me being the loser i am, getting all the jokes and such, its damn good viewage. 10 to 1 it will be cancelled within the year though as is the case with most new shows that are well different and funny but meh ill ejoy it till then. So to all of use who have spike TV watch it! hate it! and kick me in the shins.

Damn Nashville, what with there fast game style and all.. Ah well i have my hopes that detroit will come back although if they actually do thats another story. And btw there my team, have been since like grade 3 so if i want to cheer for them than ill be damned it anyone says otherwise (aka jackie... im not afraid of your threats of bodily harm {please dont hurt me}). It should be a problem though because as much as i hate so say it chances are there gonna be gone this round and ill be devotig my time to the flames. Although i must say jackie, maby you need to get these feelings of uncontrollable rage directed towards a mans penis worked out in therapy; cant see it being helpful within a relationship. (jokes, jokes {yet again dont hurt me})

DAMNIT.. yet again ive forgotten what the hell i was going to talk about sooo i guess i shalt be cutting this off right around these here parts. bloody hell though this is gonna piss me off to no end because i know that there was other stuff i wanted to talk about. Ah well such is life, life goes on etc etc.

Yurkos song of the day: The Bed's too big without you- by The Police

"I hate the people that love me and they hate me."

Yes another random bender quote to start things off with, bless his shiny metal ass. Havent posted upon here in a little while, the rapid fire action of the crap post gun appeared to have broken so my guess is that they'll go back to coming out when i have nothing at all better to do; what with it being 2:30 on a tuesday, nowhere to go, nothing on tv and well i might as well type. Like dear god im reading previous coversation logs THATS HOW BLOODY BORED I AM!!!
    *cough*

    moving right along..stupid detroit, i swear that last game they decided to that baths in molasses in between each period. I know there an older team and such but comon nashville was just skating circles around them! truly painful to watch esp since im such a huge detroit fan. Ah well heres hoping they do better in tonights game which i wont be able to watch due to somehow im going to the calgary game tonight (not that im complaining, but still it came out of the blue). On that note ive been watching considerably more hockey this playoffs spurning a renewed intrest in NHL 2K3. I must say though that the realism factor of the game is both a good thing and a very bad thing. I can see why detroit doesnt play such a fast, rough game; considering thats the way ive been playing them and 3 games in 5 guys are out with day to day injuries, yzermans out for 2 weeks and ive had to pick up a good chunk of free agents just to make up the slack. That and methinks ill have to jack up the dificulty slighty because as nice as it is to win games by a 13 goal margine its just slightly unrealistic (although nothing wrong with having the top 3 scoring leaders all from your team). Good fun none the less though. {Grrrrr...... damnit guys why wasnt i told oohh i dont know yesterday that we were playing hockey today *shakes fist* could have been doing something but nooo}

hrmm what else was i going to talk about... Been watching most of the back to the future movies latley, man i forgot how good they are; esp christopher lloyd jeesus he can be soo funny especially with his facial expressions. Top notch films all the way. hehe also been watching a great deal of SCTV which is some top notch canadian comedy right there esp the episode that was on today..oooohh man it was soo funny, probably the loudest ive laughed in a while. What sucks though its that it was one of those jokes that if i tried to explain it here in typed format it would probably not only ruin the joke for all of you but ruin it for me as well. Ah well if any of you ever watch it and have seen the one where the former station head gets kiddnapped by terrorists its the part when hes talking about the threats etc. Good fun...although no one knows what im talking about but thats ok because im NOT PLAYING HOCKEY..asses...

Well i had planned on writing a bit more here/waste a great deal more time but well i forgot most of the stuff i had planned on writing about so i guess ill wrap it up somewhere around this general area. (btw im not really that pissed about the hockey, its just something to talk about). sooo yeah

    Till next Ramble

Yurkos song of the day: Fool On the Hill- by The Beatles

"Call me old fashioned but I like a dump to be as memorable as it is devastating."

God bless the infinite wisdom of Bender. How goes it internet land? in a suprisingly good mood right know considering the "Excercise" that i just went though and all. Gotta love street hockey esp when everyones just playing for the fun of it. Damn punk from churchill though slashing me in the hand, bloody hell those tiny cuts start to sting after a while. Good fun regardless though, did a not to shabby job on the defense and ended up pulling off an assist late in the game (of course the fact that the pride of the motherland Brad was the one who scored it might have something to do with me actually getting a point but meh what can ya do). Definetly have to do that again sometime during the holidays considering this time almost everyone showed up which increases the fun factor by a good 8.927 percent.

Gawd damn random factor on windows media player, never bloody plays the songs i want to hear only the stuff thats still on the list that i havent wanted to listen to for a good 2 years. DAMN YOOU MICROSOFT!!! Of course one cannot deny the power of the random song picking, it being the principle of the thing and all. but still damnit i want some bon jovi or motley crue not this same damn aerosmith song ive heard 6 times now!!!....yay for pointlessly talking about things. While were still talking about music i feel that some mention should be directed towards todays song of the day, it being one of my top 10 favourite beatles songs, rather high on the list although my preference for that top 10 has the tendency to shift so im not going to declare any specific order. Damn good song however and totally reccomened to all of use.
(YES now it bloody plays some good stuff, yay for Motley Crue {ultimate pointless music} I showed you windows media player!)

Ahh yes poor Johnny, never to know if he got eaten by Waldorf or not. Yeah i would have kept that up for longer but no one seemed to be paying any attention to the story at all let alone making any sort of comment about it so well i lost intrest (as i often do with most things). Who knows it might make a comeback sometime during this holiday if i get bored enough (see the chances being rather good just not on todays post)....

So yah thats basically all i had to talk about today, stupid holiday messing with my head; i could have sworn it was saturday so i go downstairs trying to find the detroit game on TV which it obviously wasnt but that didnt stop me from bitching at TSN. Ah well its on tomorrow so i guess i can watch it then (unless tomorrows not saturday either... stupid linear time). Oh and yeah Jenn some major Yurko style planning must commense! which is basically similar to figuring something out at 11:45pm at night the day before and nothing gets finalised till 10min beforehand (hmmm well i checked and it does appear that yes tomorrow is saturday; you win this round calendar but next time lets see if your so lucky..) but yes that will commense next time i see you online because hey the phones all the way over there and im faaarrr to lazy to call anyone..... SASQUATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yurkos song of the day: Take it Easy- by The Eagles

    "Oh. Your. God."

    *nod*
Here we go again folks with another one of the Yurko rapid action crap in a can quickly and shoddily made holiday posts... Oddly enough though this would technically make for the very first one of the holiday postageness but hey im not one for the technicalities and i damn well hope that your not either. hrmm well i honestly have no idea where im going with this rather lame assed intro so lets just end it now and claim it never happend. I wont tell if you dont.

Cant believe i forgot to mention the playoffs in yesterdays post. Jeeeze if theres one thing that i would have talked about it would be hockey. Yes i know some people arent big into the whole sport but meh its the only one i can really get into (well other than televised poker tournaments.....dear god im a loser). Regardless my team the Detroit Red Wings (as you can probably tell due to their link on the links part) are off to a very nice start after beating Nashville 3-1 in the first game. The wings playoff hopes are looking much better this year considering Legace performed much better than Cujo ever did last season, plus Lang is performing as expected which makes me a rather happy fan indeed. I say the wings in 5 games. Poor calgary though, i really thought they had it there after there 2 goal streak in the second but meh cant fault the team what with there lack of any real playoff experience. My prediction is Vancouver in 6 games as sad as i would like to admit that.

Stupid dentist, well most of the actuall stuff isnt that bad considering ive been able to get used to (finally) the flouride and weird drill like toothpaste applicator dealie but damn them and their flossing! It always leaves my mouth feeling soo damn sore afterwards. Of course much of that is my fault considering i dont floss half as much as i really should but hey what can ya do. (yes i know floss more but im a lazy ass so when is that gonna happen)
Damn going out for lunch to market without prior warning such that i cant bring money to buy something ive been looking for, for a while... Yurkos song of the day: Livin' On a Prayer- by Bon Jovi

    "Its like taking a shit...On a Two-by-four...."

Greetings all, what with the half days and holidays and such im trying to keep up the pace of the quick post in rapid sucession! Otherwise known as a great deal of half assed short ones done consecutivly so that i can claim im devoted or something of that garb. Todays quote comes at ya from well yours truly :P it being in both my opinion and those who heard it the single most stupid thing i have ever uttered. So of course its a fitting quote to toss up here. Hehe, yay Yurko created stupid comments.

Huzzah for the resurgence of the commenting but the "faithful" to the site. Thumbs up Jenn, although it looks like Neil is lacking now but meh as long as i get a few comments that are long winded and have thought put into them its incentive enought to write these because hey as much as i like the generic comments, knowing that people actually read it and are able to well comment on what i say is nice.
Thank god today was a half day otherwise i would have officially gone insane, weeks like this leave you with no incentive in the slightest to do any schoolwork at all. One more half day and then its the greatness that is a week off school. Yes i know i doubt ill actually end up doing a great deal but hey thats preferenntial to the "Fun Fun" world of physics...damn pullen and his stupidness. But hey at least band and social was pretty good today, band because well all we did was sit around and talk and social well we get to watch all of Dr. Strangelove which is a rather odd movie yes but still i find it rather funny (story of my life, liking what is quirky etc).

Damn Teletoon switching up there schedualing just when i get used to how they had everything airing. Although i cant really complain because well im sure that there are people who would watch family guy/futurama at 11:00pm at night but sadly one of those people aint me so meh no more of the daily family guy infusions unless i decide to go out and finally buy season 3 but meh im lazy and lacking of that kind of cash so the odds are slim to nill. Running out of stuff to read again which i always find depressing because well hey i like to read, contrary to what Anthony will tell you *shake fist* meh, still got one more book to read by saturday and then the library Nazi's will come with their Book partrol gestapo and have me shot for holding a book over the due date but hey what can ya do.
Stupid computer stores in the greater calgary area not having a game that is over 8years old. yes i know its not there fault but damnit i want my wise cracking Motorcycle action! Ah well im sure ill be able to find it somewhere, beat it, complain about the lack of anything to play and then eventually burn it for Jenn who will play through it in a night and never mention it again. I have started to become addicted to risk again, damn Red armies what with there prevention of my world domination The Empire of El Yurko will be victorious damnit!!
Hmmm well im totally going nowhere at a mile a minute here so mefinks ill wrap this up before i start saying things that are really stupid. But first to wrap this up i leave you now with an excerpt from the novel Thief of Time by Terry Pratchett. This upcoming excerpt is probably the funniest thing that i have read in any book ever, i swear i havent laughed so hard in such a long time. but hey without further ado:

In the Second Scroll of Wen the Eternally Suprised a story is written concerning one day when the apprentice Clodpool, in a rebellious mood, approached Wen and spake thusly: 'Master, what is the difference between a humanistic, monastic system of belief in which wisdom is sought by means of an appearantly nonsensical system of questions and answers, and a lot of mystic gibberish made up on the spur of the moment?'
Wen considered this for some time, and at last said: 'A fish!' And Clodpool went away, satisfied.

Yurkos song of the day: The Fool on the Hill- by The Beatles

"If I had legs I would kick your ass!"

Today marks the end of the Help inspired quotations, this one coming from a different movie that of course being Hellboy (more specifically the legless Russian Zombie). But hey moving on, greetings to yet another post on the site, in which case i have now said this same intro far to many time but who is gonna stop me huh? (more or less its probably going to be my own brain telling me not to repeat myself but meh i dont listen to him anyways).
Hrmmm.. 2 posts have passed without any sort of comment from Jenn, dissapointed in ya there jenn; what happened to the loyalty? So heres hoping that by reading this you'll get back on the ball and not be kicked from the team (of course you wont be kicked consididering the "team" is so short on players we cant afford to lose any). So i guess this would make for yet another Jenn induced post (albeit for different reasons than usual) of course how bored i currently am might factor in slightly.

Yeaaahhhh boredom... As stated above went and saw Hellboy on the weekend, it turned out to be much better than initally expected, not a great deal of thinking required but it was a good movie to take in. Also ended up watching that "O Brother where art Thou?" on superstation during there "hey we just got a new movie so lets show it 800 times in the next 3 days" as they always do. Dear god i must say that George Clooney is a really funny actor and he does make a good film (well just so long as the words "Bat" and "man" arent included in the title). Good old 1930's deep south, what with there funny accents and all; good good fun. It took alot of effort to restrain myself from talkin like someone from mississippi today, deamnit i want a cool accent!
Hrmm well im basically out of stuff to talk about considering that there was my weekend, but i must say though that eating more than 3 krispy kreme doughnuts in one day can be hazardous to ones good health. Damnit Jenn comment already!
    ...
    MEIN FUHER...I CAN WALK!!!
    (hehe good old Dr. Strangelove)

Yurkos song of the day: White Flag- by Dido

Clang offering a bagful of gold: "Psst! Hey, Be-a-tle! You shall have fun, yes?"
John: "Sorry, I'm rhythm guitar and mouth organ. "

Well aint this a peachy deal of a crap stick; this marks the VERY FIRST time ever that ive gone on to another post with the previous one having a grand total of zero, yes ZERO comments. Comon people normally i wouldnt make such a fuss or anything but the fact of the matter is that i know for a fact thanks to the handy little site counter that people ahve been looking at the site so well yah that basically explains itself. On to the more pressing issues such as the lack of a duck on the moon.......

Oh a side note, if any of you people viewing this site have a site/blog of their own and its not on my list of friends sites (and yes this does mean i have to somewhat know you before adding it there (sorry to all my devoted non existent japanese fans)) email me with the adress of the site so that i can put it up here asap.

Hmm, moving on to nowhere i seem to have forgotten much of what i was going to talk about. Meh no worries im sure i can think of enough bull shat to ramble about for a good paragraph. Been listening to the KISS Alive IV cd finally (got it a good while ago, whenceever it came out) but yah ive came to the realisation that well a) KISS is one kick ass rock group, b) they appear to put on one fun live show and c) Ace Frehley is a rather odd one but hey good stuff there.

what else.. Oh ive been putting some more thought into that Saint Maybe novel that ive been reading and well after thinking about what Dan (who suprisingly enjoys the novel) has said ive came to a few conclusions. Yes like pacone said it is an easy read but well doesnt Easy read correspond with Trite and simplistic in some circles? Also as Dan was saying "its like you can imagine everything in the book actually happening.." etc etc. Which made me realise that yes everything is realistic in taht sense, life meandering along at a normal pace. The thing is though all of her books follow that same format, people living in a house, shit happens, time passes they get jobs, the dog dies, they grow old etc. etc. etc. This really struck me when reading the part about the kids coming back after getting married, having jobs and the like and it occured to me "Didnt i read this exact same passage in Homesick restaraunt (one of her other books)?" Which of course brought me to my 2 largest conclusions about why i do not like what she writes and why its literary crap. Firstly if you base your novels around day to day life of people it will ultimatly devolve into situations taht are time and time again extremly similar as i stated above which is no fun to read; its like watching the 18th rehash, spinoff or remake of a popular movie/tv show. Secondly i also realised that well i know that when i read or watch tv or movies its not to divulge into basically what my life could be if i were named Ian but for something a little different, adventurous etc. Usually entertainment is a form of escape for people and well to me anyways somehow escaping the humdrum and boredom and letdowns of ordinary life only to come across a new world in print format that is...just as humdrum and boring and with the same letdowns... is rather pointless and to a very large extent boring. The thing is though, the idea of writing a book as a part of someones day to day life is not a bad idea; it just has to be exectuted in a well interesting manner. Take the works of Phillip K. Dick for instance, this is probably one of the things he really excells at; in all his books it really makes you feel like the events are just a small snipped of these charachters lives and that they were happily living their life before the events of the book and well life will go on afterwards. It just sums up what happened in the book but never the charachters lives, which gives the novels a rather refreshing perspective in that everything is not cut and dry but its like they take on a whole life of their own. But hey if you dont like that i guess you can go read a book about some hopeless shlob whos dog just died/fiancee left him/shot himself in the head because he realised his life is one big plot hole in a crapfest of a novel.

Hmm well im almost typed out, this being a post that has taken me suprisingly long to well type out. Ive came to the realisation that i am unable to write an essay using the pen and the paper method. For some reason i write so much slower than my thought pattern that often all the great ideas that are churning through my head end up on the paper as "The UN is a good thang paw" and well i find that the speed at which i type is much more suited to place my garbled and inconsistent thought process in to literary form but then again i am sure youve been able to figure that out based upon the 40 odd posts ive rambled on in here on the site. But hey thats that, the essay is wrote and there isnt anything that can be done about it minus the still in development time machine ("Damn time machine set me back 40 years.." "Too bad it didnt work otherwise you could have went back and stopped yourself from building it")
Latly though i seem to having moments/days where im just to tired or cant be bothered to deal with human contact. Sounds rather odd/insane/depressed yes but well its not really any of the above more of i dont know just a feeling that id rather mull over my own thoughts than deal with people. But hey what can i say, people are still good fun and all but some days it just gets to a point where id rather be at home reading or watching tv or something.. not to sure what to say about that but hey the point of this is my inane ramblings and well that ranks rather high up there on the inaity scale (yay made up words!). But hey all this means is that yurkos either slowly going insane or well something but the other 6 people up here in the brain wont shut up long enough to let me think....
