Yurkos song of the day: Silent Lucidity-
by Queensryche
Allo Allo to you all as i start up another one of these blog dealies, number 24 if im not mistaken; hey 24 same number as a show which i have heard is pretty good. anywho it would be great if the comments would pick up, considering that other ppls sites are actually gettting different people visiting theres but then again this is old hat as i have crabbed about this numerous times. So i shalt move on from what you already know to stuff that you probably dont really care about.
First and foremost I shalt talk about The Nickleback concert that i went to wednesday night. The opening acts put on a pretty good show i must say, Three days grace seemed more suited to a smaller venue such as Mac hall but regardless they still played a good set. So did Stain although i think they should have ended it one or two songs shorter as it started to drag on near the end and had they ended at their first slower song (which had the largest audience appreation for their songs) they would have went out on a much higher note. Still good sets for both of them though so i cant complain.
Nickleback you can say what you want about em, but whats a fact is that they put out one kick ass live show. Much of this probably had to do with the fact that they were happier to be playing in the saddledome than probably a good many of the people were watching them. But yes what was great was it was a good old fashoned rock show, what with the extreme pyrotechnics, sex, drugs and booze made for a really fun time. Any group that sucessfully initiates a bra toss that goes thoughout the concert aaannnd throws free beer out to the crowd gets a thumbs up in my books. Plus "Never Again" is lightyears better when heard live, considering its already a great song just shows how good it was.
Finally all done the exams for last semseter as im sure you were all able to determine due to the semester being done. Math diploma wasnt all that bad, although i was expecting the multiple choice to go slightly better, the chem wasnt all that bad as well but then again it wasnt all that great. Mostly thats due to the multiple choice which i really wasnt to happy with but hey its all over and done now and so life must go on for el yurko; gotta strive towards whats starting out to be a rather mediocre last semester of high school.
As of late ive really been lending quite a bit of my modest movie collection to friends, which has me thinking that maby i should open up a rental buisness. Nah im kidding, its all good that my friends want to partake in the goodness that is some of this stuff (aka bugs bunny collection, futurama stuff like that) although im dissapointed that none of the ppl i lent it too were really able to appreaciate the greatness that was Heat; it would appear that only i can understand how great this magnificent triumph of action movies is buut oh well at least i like it, and own it. Good old Robert Deniro, Al Pacino super movie.
Speaking of movies id just like to put in a big reccomendation for any of the movies made by Mel Brooks. Basically name one, any one of em and you'll have a comedic gem. My personal favourites are Young Frankenstien and Blazing Saddles but any and all of em are great. Be sure to give em a try if you want a good (if sometimes off colour) guffa.
Latley ive become rather sick of coke, pepsi stuff like that, basically all colaish drinks. that has to do mostly with the fact that ive been drinking them almost constantly since junior high. So due to that ive been drinking alot more iced tea and sprite and such as of late. Currently ive become rather addicted to this Nestle concentrate Iced Tea which you pour a few spoons of into a glass, ad water and voila instant goodness. Im pretty darn sure though that the stuff is either both carconagenic and laced with crack but meh it tastes damn good and if im gonna die from good eating/drinking then well i will die a very happy man (that is also coincidentally my feelings on cholersterol, fatty foods etc; which of course ill prob wake up one morning overweight, bald and no eyesight but meh life goes on).
Hmmm, yes well anyways as i said yesterday (or this morning if your a proper time nazi) today i will discuss the topic of honesty. I have came to realise as of late (boy ive said that alot today) that the concept is great and all but more often than not people try to steer clear of it. Yeah sure in the larger things in life most people will tell you the truth and thats great and all but when it comes to the smaller things in life ive found that most people will lie just to make others happy. I know that im a culprit of this but its just struck me as rather stupid to have an entire society of people going around lying about all the little things in life. Take for instance how most people will clean their houses to perfection right before someone visits; considering that most people end up doing this you would think that everyone would realise that the state in which they see other peoples houses is not how they usually are. I dont know, im not really going anywhere with this but it just all struck me as rather foolish to have everyone lying to eveyone else and most people just choose to remain blissfully unaware.
On that note though, anyone whose obviously lying really piss me off. You know for a fact that what there saying is nothing even remotly close to the truth and in most cases you can tell and know whats really going on but they adamantly declare that nope nothings going. Just ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you the rage that i can get into over this, well especially at the begginning of this year; good times, what with the nice healthy rage but then again ive already made a few posts of that alone.
Going with that though i must admit that in certain things im guilty of that. Mostly that has to do with stuff dealing with people that i like, and when people ask me of it. basically as of late I think that im starting to like someone who i used to like 2 yrs ago but at this current point in time im not exactaly sure. The thing is that the last person that i liked nothing came out of it, that was hard considering that i had really grown to like that person. What im worried about now is that if i do come out and say to the person, as i did last time that ill get the whole "your great and all but im not looking for a relationship right now" schpiel; thusly breaking my spirits once again and most likley ruining what is a really good friendship. So thats what my current train of thought is and well its rather a downer for me but hey life must go on, i must continue to contemplate this and ill be sure to bring this up at a later date when the news is forthcoming.
On another less odd/awkward note ive decided that once my lazy ass facial hair allows it i shalt grow myself a goatee. Yes i know that ill probably end up looking like a total idiot and everyone will resoundingly tell me to shave it off the instant they see it; personally id like to see how it would look and i think it wouldnt look all that bad. The only problem is that my body seems to be very happy to sure let me grow and all, deepen the voice and junk; but it seems quite content to grow in the facial hair in little spurts, keep the god damn acne hanging around aaannnd refuse to bulk up the muscle. stupid hormone system grrr....
Yes weeelllll thats enough stuff that no one in the entire world really cares about, what with my lack of facial hair, lack of a sucessful love life (well any sort for that matter) sooo i shalt bid you all a happy, good and fun weekend

Yurkos song of the day: Dont Stand So close to Me-
by The Police
(note the blog site screwed up, this is supposed to be dated Sat. Jan 31st or something to that like but it still says Thursday; just thought id let you know)
Hello there to everyone out there in the happy magical world of the Internet. This would be post number 23 if im not mistaken, whether or not the quality of the posts has gotten better over 23 posts i dont know and frankly i dont really care so yeah; On with the blogging.
This is gonna be another short one folks, mostly because ive been putting off posting up one of these for a few days now as you can see, that being due to both studying and just not in a long winded typing mood. The other reason being that its now 12:31 and i had planned to go to bed around now but noooo Jen had to be all like "I wont talk to you until you put up another post" etc, etc, blah blah blah
Soooo be not being one to anger off my only appearant fan here i am typing up a blog. As stated up above i do have a couple of topics on which i will churn out a nice long winded one tomorrow (or today, it being past midnight and all) morning; based around stuff like honesty, my views on the nickleback concert, the genious of mel brooks, the crap fest that was Yurko's first semseter diplomas aaannnd the addictive yet probably carconagenic properties of concentrate Nestle. So consider if you will this being a teaser for the post to come, which i am sure you will all be very dissapointed once it does come but hey thats beyond my control palie.
Stupid school and its arbitrary class switching, messed up what would have been a pretty good semseter i tells you. *shakes fist in general direction of Francis
So now instead of having all 3 of my classes with good friends its been whittled down to a meager two, and sadly in the class that i am in most need of a friend to distract me, that being english. What i really dont get is that how does a person who was signed up for a class before i was get kicked out whereas i who switched into it a few days before first semester ends are not. So now there i am in said english class with a few ok ppl but no one whos really a close friend and the friend i was supposed to be with is in another class with no one (so she tells me). So yeah, it made for a rather dissapointing afternoon whens ones hopes and dreams of a new semseter are crushed like a small object being crushed really hard.
Did watch Emperors New Groove tonight though, which i must say is one damn funny movie. Its rather a pity that it bombed so bad when it first came out because otherwise i am sure that you would have seen more of these great comedic gems come out of the minds of the boys over at disney. Instead what we got was the same music driven charachter storys that theyve always put out, which mind you is no more considering that recently theyve shut down their animation department. Truly a sad sad day for the kids of the world, crushing blow for our generation particularly considering the fact that disney movies were like the bread and butter of our young childhoods, well mine neway. On another sad note/another nail in the coffin that is the death of Disney; them and Pixar just announced today that after 2006 they arent going to renew their contract. This meaning that the partnership that gave us such classics as Monsters Inc. Toy Story 1 & 2, Finding Nemo etc will be no more. Good news is that both Time-warner and Fox are vying for Pixars new contract but its saddening though considering that the money from those movies was basically all that was keeping disney alive. So may you rest in peace Mickey.
well ive ramblled myself out tonight, not really long but what ya gonna do. Ill really try to put up a truly long, epic and overall good one tomorrow so untill then

Yurkos song of the day: Photograph-
by Def Leppard
Hello all to a beautiful monday afternoon post. Right now i should be studying for the math test tomorrow buuutt as you probably know me and work ethic are about as similar as Frosty the Snowman wintering in hell. Sorry about the lack of a post yesterday, i know i said that the posts would come regularly and often during this exam break but i had a bad case of the eating greasy crap which causes diarrhea, visions of the apokalypse and babies to cry; you know the standard fluish stomach ache. So yeah bearing that i wasnt really in the mood to put up a post yesterday although it did make for a nice vaild exuse not to study and to watch some tv.
During said TV viewage i was able to partake in watching probably one of the coolest movies ever made and one of my favourites, that being Blade Runner. In my opinion its right up there with Alien as one of Ridly Scott's best films. So dark and moody and atmospheric, truly a feat of cinematography if you ask me (which im sure you havent). It was the original version though which was a tad dissapointing because personally i liked the "What the hells going on???" ending of the directors cut which unlike most movies actually required you to put some thought into what you just watched and once you figured out what was going on, left you with a much more fufilled feeling; another sign of a good film. Re-watching this movie brought up three things though, firstly it really showed how times change in that back in the 80's people thought the future as this dark, forboding place whereas movies based off the same subject matter but made recently (aka Minority Report) depict a future much brighter and cheerful (not to sound depressing or anything but personally i find the dark future makes for a much cooler movie to watch). Second it revitalised my huge master dream which although highly unlikley to ever occur would still be damn cool. Ill be sure to talk about it at another time, probably on wednesdays post but not right now as i do have to get back to studying. Third and finally though, watching that movie really made me think and hope that the idiots in hollywood dont mess up the upcoming Deus Ex movie which if done right could create something equally as cool and kick ass as Blade Runner (if done wrong which it most probably will be, we will get something as great as the Mario Brothers movie or paycheck)
Oh btw if you really need something to read on here considering the lack of added material as of late, be sure to read the other last few posts ive put up here and comment because it would appear that everyone felt like checking my site regularly up until last wednesday in which case the comments stopped. That and be sure to download my songs of the day from your favourite music stealing service of choice, good picks all of em so listen and enjoy.
Sooo yes another short post but as stated above ive got to head back to the studying such that i dont fail my diplomas and end up a bum living on the street who could have went to university and been sucessful but decided to spend more time typing up his blog and so flunked out of high school. (wow that sentence almost went full circle, boy that would have been fun :P)
Yes weell anywho

Yurkos song of the day: Fallen Angel-
by Poison
Ive been looking back at all of the other 21 previous posts on here and ive realised that my openings tend to be pretty much the same post after post after post soooooo yeah i dont know, i just felt like mentioning that.
Taking a look at the comments section, it would appear that were back to the state of old where no one feels like talking to me. but hey what yah gonna do, might as well continue to slog these things out cause hey anythings better than studying (with the possible exception of de-fanging awake, rabid badgers). Albeit i must admit that a slight bit of recognition would be a grand thing what with knowing that people like what you do and all but meh im sure theres lots of people out there who read this but cant type or something to that extent.... yeeaaahhhh thats it...
Dear god today was boring. I came soo very close to studying today thats how bored i was. Luckily SpeedVision was showing the Barret-jackson Classic car auctions were on so i ended up watching most of that. Yes i know, your probably all thinking He watched a televised auction and thought that it was better than being bored?? Well yeah i did mostly due to the fact that im an odd one. Considering that i religously watched the entire Poker Millions Championship on tv and actually enjoyed it/looked forward to it i must say that i have a rather weird taste in tv. So yes i found a televised auction an interesting thing to watch. I have decided that one of these days when im old and rich (thats the plan neway) that ill go to one of those auctions and buy my two deam cars. Those being the Austin Martin V12 Vanquish and the Porsche 911 GT3 (forest green and gun-metal grey respectivley). Of course to do that it will require a hefty wad of cash so i have my doubts as to wheter or not it will actually happen but hey one can dream.
Stupid snow and all its wet coldness. well its not like i would have really done anything regardless but still its there and making the house cold so i feel like complaining about it. Would have been great to go out and do something tonight, what with the parents not being home and all but gotta stay at home and watch over mein sister so thats all null and void. hmmmmm yeeaahh well theres not much else to talk about there so ill stop.
well im sure that i had other stuff planned to talk about on here but a) my fingers are cold and b) im really bored so i dont really have and incentive to put alot of effort into this one but the regularity of posts must continue for the good of the monkeys.
ill really try to infuse some anger/intrest into my post for tomorrow or the rest of the week but right now apoligies for this half assed effort.

Yurkos song of the day: Take me Home -
by Phil Collins
Ahoy hoy and welcome to post numero 21. I have yet to been issued a court order by the greater people of the world to stop doing these blogs so here i go again. Where im going though is probably no where very far considering that not a lot has happened to me since the last post so this is gonna be a short one. But hey at least the posts are still coming nice and regular just like the guy who ordered the beans at the Ex-Lax convention.
...
weeeeeelll thats enough highbrow humour for one day so on to the short and sweetish description of events of late.
hmmmm well the basis of my last week has been "studying" for the second parts of the two exams that i have coming up. Thus far i have opened my binder up and looked at one page of chem, and that took me a bloody hour to do! SO yeah the jist of that is that i have no work ethic and are a lazy bastard but meh im sure ill study the night before or something. That or hope that i remeber enough from when my teachers initally taught it. That might work for math, chem on the other hand though i have my doubts (stupid mr lawrence)
Ive decided to start reading this prequel book in the Harry Turtledove series that ive ranted quite a bit about. The reason behind this is mostly because i really cant wait till the latest book comes out and i didnt even know that this one existed up until now. its actually a pretty good read mostly due to the fact that it helps to flesh out alot of the stuff in the latter 6 books (like why Custard is so pissed about losing his brother, why Lincon becomes a socalist, who jeb stuart senior is etc). of course for all of you who have never read any of the books all those points will be moot but if you do wish to read em i reccomend getting this book that im reading now (Called: How Few Remain)before starting on the behmoth of good reading that is the rest of the series.
well other than avoiding the studying and reading books that only i know about the rest of my time has been spent trying to find one god damn little peice of lego that would allow me to finish this stupid project. Incidentally if any of you have a little round grey lego peice with 4 of those circular dealies on top lying around i would be more than happy to take it off your hands considering that it would prevent me from going insane and finally finishing this. On that note of me delving back into my childhood (either due to the stresses of diplomas or that im bored and all my old stuff is around my desk) the other project that im beggining again is my attempt to fully aquire the entire "life and time of Uncle Scrooge" comic series. Back in the day when these were first being released i almost got the entire run of the series, much of that having to do with the fact that these were comic gold. If your able to look beyond the disney setting this stuff was hilarious and still is for that matter. But the main reason that ive started this up is that after going through various old boxes ive realised that a few that i am sure i had have gone missing and that saddens me. So thusly the quest begins! (cue cheap sounding trumpet fan fair).
Hmmmm yes well i r done for today. All i have left to say is blowing 100 bucks in one store on one shopping trip, on junk that you reaaallly dont need, ever, is not a very fun thing to do (contrary to popular belief)

Yurkos song of the day: Two of Us -
by The Beatles
Greetings everyone to a Thursday evening posting on my stupid blog type deal. gonna be a short one as for the fact that i do have to get back to the little bit of studying that ive been trying to slog though. Regardless of that fact i dont really have a great deal to talk about today anyways but here goes.
I realised earlier that i totally forgot to mention the goings on the previous monday which was kinda suprising considering that there was much i could talk about on here. Firstly id just like to mention that when your going down to sunridge mall (why i still havent figured out) be sure to pay attention to the road signs so as not to start going to medicine hat instead of said mall. Second, despite popular belief, the combination of noodle looking frozen yogurt, ginger beef, rice and ketchup is not a breakfast of champions; especially when combined into one cup as i am sure victor would be very happy to tell you.
And thirdly heres some helpful advice, appearantly when you go into a store and bring something to the checkout counter you have to TELL the cashier that yes i would like to buy this product and no i didnt just walk in here and take something off the shelf just to prove to you the person who probably put it there in the first place that yes you do stock this item. Im sorry, just a tad bitter over how stupid employees of compucenter appearantly are.
I have also came to realise that one of the sure signs of being a guaranteed loser is when you await the release of a book, especially if its a book that no one you know has ever heard of, and most especially when the book is a piece of historical fiction. So yes i know i r a loser but damnit Harry Turtledove writes some damn good novels so i dont give a rats buttox what all of you nonexistent people reading this think. On the topic of books i might as well mention the thing thats currently pissing me off. As im sure no one has noticed ive got a link over yonder to an author called Terry Pratchett, whom i have also mentioned numerous times in the course of these posts. What angers me is that according to the godless corporation that is indigo-chapters most of his earlier books are out of print. Now me being new to this author of course i decide to start with his earlier books so since im far to lazy to go to used bookstores to find them i have to turn to the local libratorium. This system worked out just peachy for the first couple of books until it came to a little novel entitled Mort. It would appear that for the entire calgary public library system there is only one copy of this book (although the library claims that 10 more are on order but refer back to the mention of them being out of print) and so i am forced to wait in line with 14 other people to get their grubby mitts on this one little book. Normally i wouldnt care but this book deals soley with probably the authors funniest, wittiest and all round best charachter Death. So for that reason alone i will sit here and grumble until its my turn to partake in the readage of this tome of funniness and thusly be severly dissapointed, throw myself off a very low bridge, sprain an ankle and move on with life.
I am sure that there was other stuff that i had planned on talking about but ive forgotten and im starting to get chest pains soooooo
Till Next Ramble
(unless of course im actually having a heart attack so if thats the case then till i see you all in heaven/hell/purgatory)

Yurkos song of the day: Walking Away from the Edge -
by Journey
Ahoy hoy all you sports fans; welcome to post number 19. Yeah sorry again about having a 3dayish break in posts there (jeese i seem to be apologizing quite a bit as of late) but yes as long as this exam break is ill be sure to make my posts much more frequent and regularish all thanks to the mighty power of Bran!! (hehe, regular.. bran.... *cough cough, yes anywho).
Half done my exams now, which is always a good thing although i still would ahve preferred the system of having both parts of the exam in one lump like i did for bio last year. That was its all over and done with in one afternoon instead of having to wait another week to finish the damn exams. On that note though the written stuff wasnt as bad as i had expected, most especially the math which was a total joke (whoooo the complexity of drawing a circle). Chem on the other hand not as easy but im still not complaining over the total lack of any sort of actual calculations (no real acid base stuff=a very happy yurko). Im pretty sure though that my system of measuring the heat of a bunsen burner was pretty much a total load of bull shat but meh its over and done, now to focus on the multiple choice.
Hehe good old van halen, currently listening to Jump; let me tell you that it makes for one great feel good song, not as good as can you picture that; from the muppets but very close.
Havent been able to play sim city lately due to studying so it looks like those lazy ass bastards will just have to be happy with their lack of an education, serves em right living in a city run by me. Have been playing quite a bit of the new prince of persia game and some old school zelda action courtesy of the free bonus disc nintendo sent me. Gotta love customer appreciation bribery although im still yet to figure out how a game from the 80's requires and uses the progessive scan function on my tv but meh no worries.
Almost completed my quest of the legoish nature, 3 of the 4 major set type dealies have been rebuilt, only being held up by one damn peice now which im starting to think has been eaten by some form of bug that lives soley on little red lego pieces so if you see one be sure to let me know. I must admit though that its fun to be able to just sit there playing with the lego and reminiscing (spelt that wrong im sure) about the good old days of being young and not having diplomas, universities to apply for etc.
Appearantly Lucasarts is going to be making a second Sam and Max: Freelance Police game. For those of you who have no idea what im talking about (which im guessing is everyone) i reccomend looking it up. Basically it was an adventure game from the 90's that also spawned one of the funnier cartoons of the era, almost as good as the Tick (any show that comes up with a superhero called Sarcastro gets a thumbs up in my books). So yes there making a new game based of the crazy antics of an overgrown rabbit and a dog in a suit so how can you go wrong. Albeit with this news i wish that they would make another monkey island game but hey mirthmaking is mirthmaking.
Was watching some tv saturday night (amazing isnt?) and teletoon was showing the last episode of clone high again. Now let me tell you if theres ever been a show that got cancelled well before its time this would be it. Such a great show and MTV only puts out one season, such bastards i tells you. This also got my blood boiling again about stupid networks cancelling great shows before they should. The big culprits being MTV and Fox of course, MTV for canning Clone High and Undergrads both of which were witty as hell, great entertainment and one had a giant genghis kahn with a paper hat; classic tv i tells ya, classic tv. But Fox gets the brunt of my rage friends, if i were ever to meet the guys who decided to cancel Futurama and Fastlane i would happily kick them. usually i would add in family guy to that but the stellar dvd sales of said show have caused fox to bring it back for at least another season so i wont gripe until after i hear what happens with that. But you had the hilarious futurama, winner of an emmy and generally considered still fresh and funny (unlike the current crop of simpsons episodes) but the cancel it and instead renew simpsons for another 5 seasons and keep king of the hill kicking around. My current theory is that President Bush likes having a show that deals with how he feels (aka rednecks) so by his order fox has to keep king of the hill around. Fastlane's cancellation i really dont get though, considering how much money they put behind it (cost like 2mill an episode or something) and they dont even promote it, throw it on a friday timeslot and then expect it to have great ratings. talk about stupid people i tell you, if i ran a tv network i assure you it would be full of quality programming that wouldnt get cancelled at the drop of a hat. Of course it would make no money seeing as how their would be no reality shows or any of that crap and would soon fold but thats not the point here folks, the point is that im done talking about tv for the moment!
I have realised thought that, well in person neway, ive had the tendency to do alot of griping and making of stupid jokes and cheap shots over certain things. Realising this ive decided taht hence forth im not going to anymore considering all it does is send across the wrong message, not the way i really feel in any way. That and it potrays me as a insincere loser whos being childish about stuff that really doesnt affect me in any great way. So because of all that no more will stupid comments or snide remarks about this thing will come from my mouth. What this thing is i arent gonna say but i know what it is and thats all that matters.
Hrmmm, well it would appear that i have run out of stuff to talk about for now so i think ill slog off a short addition to the story which hasnt been seen here for a good while now.
***
Well as you can plainly tell, odl Waldorf is a big fan of drunken dragon music so he lumbered quickly towards the source of this amazing sound. It was right around the time that the ducks were starting into a really good drum solo that Johnny decided to gaze up at the suddenly appearing shadow overhead. There he saw the gaping mouth of a smiling Waldorf enjoying a good tune (although to the undeducated eye its kind of hard to tell the difference between a smiling dragon and one whos looking at his next meal). Conveniently it was right around then that johnny decided to relieve himself much to the horror of a small ant holding a torch who was at that time going to warn the colony of the oncoming anteater horde.
Now you would think that someone in this position would bolt and run or something of that sort but not poor Johnny. See currently in his little mind (big compared to a certain helpless ant which was wondering why he never learned to swim and why the water was so yellow) Johnny was just thinking about how he could get around this large, apprearantly hungry Dragon to the promised piles of dried bread and small change laying behind. To say that Johnny had a one track mind would be insulting to tracks in general, his was more of the type of mind that worked like a small box; one thing fits and nothing else.

Well on that horrible, horrible HORRIBLE analogy (hey i never said i was good at english, or story writing for that matter) i shalt bid u all a good wednesday, well the best that can be expected in any case. Oh btw thanks Rob, its always good to know that Wayne Gretzky likes my site.

Hey Hey All! Putting up a Saturday evening post considering that im stuck here at home and i reeaalllyyy dont feel like studying on a saturday like im supposed to be. yes i know that i really should be studying my math and chem considering that theres a huuuggee chunk of math that i dont remeber any more and 2 whole units of chem that i never understood to begin with, let alone now, but honestly who does homework on saturdays?? Not i, Not I.
Currently been wasting most of my time with Sim City 4 which i picked up mostly because i found it for cheap at staples. This game would be right up there in addictiveness with the previous two in the series that i own if it wasnt for the fact that my crap ass computer took forever to load up the game; stupid slow processor. And damn the lazy bastards in my cities, its not my fault that you cant find jobs you lazy asses and the fact that the best you can get is a elementary school education has NOTHING to do with it. Yes i know putting in a highschool or something would probably help get rid of my jobless raiting but hey im to lazy to care, well that or cheap.
But yes enough talk about a game that only i play.
Along with putting together that photocopied song book that ive talked about quite a bit latley the other project thats been occupying my time is rebuiliding much of my lego collection. Yes i know i r a loser what with the fact that i still care about lego at this age but hey its damn fun and better than being bored and doing nothing. Well that or im a freak, havent decided yet. It would be great though if i didnt have to spend all this time rebuiliding all this lego but this little cousin of mine and his family came over a few years back (2 i think). so yeah his dad said that he liked lego so im thinking ok then, something to amuse the kid with so i show him all of my lego which i hadnt touched in years but was still all happily together. So thusly in the space of a good hour the little tyke goes through each and every one and rips em apart. I would ahve said something but its just one of those things that you just cant do, how on earth do u tell like an 8yr old to stop having fun even though you know HOW MUCH GOD DAMN TIME it took you to put all that stuff together. Siiigghhh, ah well it gives me something to do instead of studying.
Whooo!! I just found out that the last 3 book arc in probably my favourite book series in a long while is coming out soon. Dont know if ive mentioned his works or not but the Harry TurtleDove series about what world war one and two would have been like if the south had won the civil war is some great reading. But yeah so far ive read the first 6 of the books and the 7th has just been announced. Titled Settling Accounts: Return Engagement it should be a damn good read. So yeah if any of you out there enjoy historical fiction id reccomend picking up The Great War:American Front and giving that a try, good books i tells you, good books.
The other thing that im reccomending this week is the Clone Wars shorts on teletoon. Something about the combo of star wars and Samurai jack style animation is a winner. Its great mostly beacuse the guy (gennedy something, cant remeber his last name) was able to turn the boondoggle that was episode two into something really cool to watch, plus the fact that their only 5 min long probably ensures that you dont lose intrest due to the fact that theirs not enough time to lose intrest in it anyways. SO yeah animated star wars=good tv.
Hmmm well im currently being kicked of the computer considering how long it took me to type out so litte ( i have a tendency to forget what im doing and get distracted) so sorry again about no addon to the story, ill really try to put on another section tomorrow.

*addon*
This here being an addition to the post, i just remebered that i forgot to mention that having a little insult/practical joke war with ones ta will surley add much enjoyment to ones school life. Well mostly beacuse after my TA covered my lock in hockey tape (grrr) i now have a really good excuse to plot some hard core revenge with the other gr 12's in my ta, currently cooking up a pretty good plan athough i doubt that it will work but hey plotting is always good fun, if not more fun than actually doing something.
***
Terribly sorry about the whole lack of any type of posting in the last while. In all honesty i had planned on putting up posts on the two half days that i had this week but as you can clearly see that was not the case at all. Once again, sorry to you all.
Yes well anywho lifes lookin on the up and upish for el yurko. This has alot to do with the fact that the semseters are almost done and the final in class tests for chem and math went pretty good. This alone makes for a good week although the fact that i think those god damn warts on my feet are finally dead but im pretty sure that no one wanted to hear that but hey too late! So yes alls good on the western front.
Now whats a kick in the keister my ap calc test i had today, let me tell you all that if you have the chance to take ap calulus JUST SAY NO!!! its not any fun at all esp a test that no one in the class knew how to do and when even the smartest kid in the class doesnt know what hes doing, its usually a good sign to be worried. But hey its over and done so that great big thing called liff just keeps on a truckin.
A small add on the the ongoing, although not recently spoke of pissed offage (yes i know made up word but meh) towards certain people. Well the problem in this regard has been stemmed somewhat due to the previously mentioned breakup btw two of the people, returning one of them back to their former, non anger inducing self. Its kinda like a really bad horror/sci-fi movie where when the evil mind-control agent/vampire leader type thing finally dies all those under their control are freed from the spell and life is happy, cue end credits type deal. So yeah as Jenn and janelle have said numerous times, its back to how it should be/they won etc. and i must agree, although i must say that i have been on their side for a while now (and no im not being like italy and just jumping on the winning team when the wars startin to go sour). But yeah its kinda funny because one of the people was reaalllyyy getting anoying in this really stupid band clinic dealie we had after school, which i will gripe about in a bit. but yeah she just wouldnt shut up about people not playing the rythm right, wrong notes, you know junk like that which thoes of us who arent pefectionists at the clarinet like her. But yeah i just got soo pissed off that i just told her to shut up, infront of everyone, and the other person in question starts saying "you need to calm down there chris" so i just say "I need to calm down? Shes the one who needs to calm down" Yess i know, not all that stimulating and/or witty but it did the job, shut them up and was rather fun to do. I might add that the other persons new "fancy ass" clarinet is sooo god damn annoying that it should be drug out into the street and shot, well that or stamped on repeatedly, which ever floats your boat.
But yeah as for Band well its really gotten pointless as of late. Considering that the one and only reason that i decided to join this year was to be able to go on trips with some of my friends who i dont really spend a great deal of time with outside of school. That and its always fun company (when were not actually doing work mind you) so yeah that makes for a good time. Now that were not going on any sort of trips whatsoever its kinda makes my reason for taking the entire course null and void so im really contemplating dropping said course considering that all of the ppl that i took band to hang out with i ahve courses with next semseter so yeah that should be good good fun (well minus if mike lambert is in one of the classes but ive already talked about that earlier, albeit cryptically). Regardless, new semseter should=fun.
Finally photocopied that almighty def leppard book, although it took like 2hrs to do, damn staples and its non functioning properly photocopiers, yeah but after that boondoggle ive got to somehow make it all fit into a binder of sorts so that i can effectivly utilise the sheets which were photocopied. Ive came to realise though that for my classical guitar im kinda boned in that since im such a lazy ass and have constantly decided not to memorise waht i should or practice what i should etc etc ive basically guaranteed not being able to do a june exam which i wanted to do so that i can at least have grade 6 which would be a good thing for me. Ah well i can still try but hey i dont have my hopes up.
Yes so like i said, a rather dissapoiting post today but meh life goes on. Ill try to come up with something to add to the story tomorrow, when im awake, coherent and hopefully somewhat creative. Considering dropping it though due to the total lack of any appearant interest in it, but then again using that logic it might almost be worth stopping all of this :P
Well till next ramble

Greetings and Salutations! Here i are again with the posting on the site, number 16 if im correct.
Currently not feeling so hot, stupid little ceasers pizza, soo damn good but i always feel like crap after eating it. Then again im pretty sure that no one want to hear about the grim battle currently going on within my bowels so ill stop right there.
Whats pissing me off right now more so is my damn left hand, been getting some really weird pains from it the last few days and its starting to get annoying. Mostly because i only get these pains when doing rather specific stuff like crossing my arms, things like that. Like i will be all fine and then Boom, there goes the hand off on a happy jaunt through pain town. Luckily its not hurting as i type this but i assure you that if it does then i will suddenly start using words with only 1 letter, 2 tops so yeah not cool. Heres hoping that that this sudden onset of pain doesnt have anything to do with parkinsons, which btw ive figured that im pretty much guaranteed to get; well that and baldness; so yeah if it keeps up ill prob have to get it checked out so heres hoping that it stops rather soon.
Finally started to watch the Band of Brothers DVD set and let me tell you, ive forgotten how damn good the show was. Like wholey crap on a stick this is some damn good war drama. Its really made for a rather enjoyable viewing experience as of late, like its not soaked with american propaganda which is always good (unlike ohh saaay black hawk down) and its nice and realistic. That probably has to do with the fact that its based off the stories from the actual easy company members but yeah regardless really really good. Although kinda pissed about my dvd player which for some reason refuses to always show it in widescreen format like it should (daammnn you sony, daammn you).
Keeping on the topic of good dvd viewing i also finally watched the extended edition of the two towers. Now that was a damn damn damn good movie. The stuff that they added really made the movie leaps and bounds better (considering the original was great thats no small feat). I especially loved the added scenes with the Ents which just made the movie great, that and gimli and legolas counting their kills after the fight, talk about a classic moment. Hopefully the Return of the King extended edition will be just as good if not better so that the series just keeps going on the up and up.
Hmmm not much else to talk about today, other than i lost my favourite mechanical pencil. Yes i know its not much to talk about but damnit ive had that pencil for a good 2.5 yrs now and it was as near perfection as a pencil could get. Well that and ive gotten so used to using that pencil for my usless doodling which i do quite a bit, that its gonna be odd writing/drawing without it.
But yes thats more than enough talk about my loss of stationary. In fact theres been a great deal of stuff that i really shouldnt be talking about. What can i say, today was very uneventful for me but im trying to keep with the regular posting so what yah gonna do; and no doing intersting things for once is NOT an option, me being far to lazy and all.
Oh one final thing of note, Teletoon has started to show Futurama now, For those of you who dont know thats probably my favourite show of all time so hence the plug, but yeah saturdays at 10pm; so if your a loser who stays at home more saturday nights than you go out (aka me) be sure to watch, good fun will be had by all.
But yes as stated eariler there wasnt much to talk about today so thats pretty much it, minus todays portion of the story which will probably end up being kinda on the short side considering i doubt ill be able to come up with much along the lines of inspiration. so heeerree goes!

Hehe well i said that it would be a short one :P
Seriously though, ill have a good one tomorrow, im just to tired to come up with anything stupid enough that someone whose drunk enough might find semi witty

Waffles To you all, This being big old post numero 15. Wow what a nice even sounding number (but really a sneaky odd bastard in disguise... im on to you 15, im on to you...)
Yes well anyways its finally the weekend and boy do i need it, this week seemed to go on forever, and ever, etc etc. Probably much of that has to do with the crap load of tests that i had to write this week, so ive been really looking forward to this sancuary called friday! Saddening though that next week ive got even more exams to do but hey thats not the issue at the moment, as of now the issue is relaxation!
Apoligies for last nights post, looking back on it, there wasnt much there that i really said and a good chunk of it was me repeating myself. Kinda sucks though considering that i really did have some good ideas as to what to write, witty comments and all but i said ah well im sure that ill remeber it tomorrow. But Loe and behold did i? neope, not in the slightest. So hey, there you have it, the fruits of my labour is yesterdays post. hmmm yes anywho
Ive also noticed a few (read one) complaints about what i said in regards to punk muzac yesterday so i feel that some clarification is in order as to how i feel on this subject.
The intent of that post wasnt to just single out punk music as being a load of smelly crap one finds on the side of a street (in saaayyy france for instance). What i really meant, and are trying to get across now is what pisses me off is a lack of originality and inventiveness in music. Punk became the fodder of this discussion yesterday more so because the state of rock music was on my mind at that particular moment. This not to say that all of punk is junk (hehe that rhymed) because the groups that are inventive, new and have an original sound i like, its just those groups taht have popped up in the last little while to ride along with this current Punk music fad that anger me. Every single one has the same god damn sound, hey look at me i can shout in to a mike and strum occasionally on a guitar, WHOOOO!!! Its these copy cat groups that have no originality at all that get my goat. Now this anger of a lack of original sound/ cookie cutter music made only for money stretches over to any and all music types, and for that matter era's. Anyone who knows me will tell you that im not the worlds biggest rap fan (probably pretty darn far from the fact) but if an artist has a new and unique sound then ill give him his cudos because the guy or girl is trying something new and isnt just doing what will generate the cash. But you look at how many Emenem clones came out when he really got popular and thats just sad. I know that its hard to make it in the music industry as it is, but i would think that someone would rather have their own sound than be known for one or two mediocre songs that are just known because they sound just like someone else. Now pop.. sigh... ill get to that later.
As i said this hatred of no real evident talent streches over to other eras of music as well. You have probably seen that often i commend and exhonorate older music from say the 80's or 70's or such but these times werent without their crap music. In fact i would have to say that the 80's were probably even worse for sound alike groups than today. Just sit down and watch one episode of Power Hour on Much More Music and this will be veerryy evident. For every truly genious group like Def Leppard, Van Halen, Motley Crue etc. you had hundreds of Ratt's, White Snake, Dokken, etc who were known for one or two good songs, but mostly for sounding as close as possible to the really heavy hitters of the era. This has a tendency of occuring quite a bit in music and thats really saddening for me, Once a group comes out with some new and inventive sound that sells youll find copy groups sprout up like a fast moving form of mushrooms. Of course you can go as far back as the Beatles to see this, the british invasion was full of Beatles and Rolling Stones sound alikes, so its not just the examples of this in punk that anger me, its just that punk music is the most recent example of this system that is the record industry so thats why i mentioned.
Now Pop Music on the other Hand, that my friends is probably THE biggest reason in my mind why the record industry is faltering. Here you have a system soley designed around producing music that sounds just like everything else that has come out in pop music for the last few years. The only innovations really? to add an "infusion" of street "cred" by throwing in the odd rap and/or hip hop artist in to some random pop artists music. All that this achieves is the lowering of hip hop to a system that is soley based around turning the biggest profit; yes i know thats what a buisness is supposed to do, but last time i checked groups that are innovative and fresh seem to sell pretty damn good if given a chance. Although Granted music like Nelly's Air Force One's should not even be allowed to exist, dear god its one big ad! who the hell would be able to sit through that and just think that its a good song, if ever you want a good example if someone completly selling out, there you go.
The one thing that i really want to do right now is go up to every single one of those american/canadian idol losers who have released their cd's and kick them nice and hard in the groin (my preferred system of punishment as im sure youve noticed). This music is total and utter Crap with a capital Shit! The show was just one big ad for Coke and the other sponsers and now you have these idiots coming out with the same poppy ballad drivel crap that any moronic loser with 1/4 of a musical education and a half decent (being reaaallllyyy generious here) singing voice could throw out. On a side note i have had the occasional jab at pop music already (see part one of the story). But yes anyways back to american idol bashing. Stupid idiots and their factory made sound, bah! a pox on them. Oh what the hell is up with pop singers and the appearant need to flail their pointed finger around when their sustaining notes? does this magical finger movement somehow grant them the powers of vocal chords or something? not really a substantial gripe but it pisses me off all the same. Stupid people.
Im really hopeing that the new American idol flops like a Soufflé taken out of the oven too early (if you dont know what im talking about, LOOK IT UP;.... lazy bastards). Although if it does flop it will probably only result in a momentary lack of pre-produced crap in music but hey any sort of break is a good one.
I must say though that there is a small amount of pop music that i do like, this of course being music that is rather original and different. Mostly the likes of Sting, Meatload and such (although Stings not really all that much of pop music, considering the police and all {now that was a really great band, the fusion of reggae and rock, how does one go wrong?}), and yes i must admit that i do like that new song by dido (white flag or something) Its a catchy tune alright? so sue me, but the point is, that its all rather original so its gets the big old Yurko stamp of approval.
Wow i sure talked for a while about nothing much but hey, you come here to see my words so thats what you get!
As promised, here is now a small addition to the story! So enjoy, or dont its all up to you; because we live in a free market system, not the opppresion of communism... DAMN YOU ZIG ZIGLAR with your american propaganda, runined my mind, damn him....

At this point in time, the afformentioned Dragon, he needs a name soooo lets call him Waldorf the Slightly Daft; yes well anyways Waldorf was happily sitting in his rather sisable cave on which he had just recently paid off the morgage. Comfortly snuggled up in his large pile of assorted gold, that being the preffered cushoning of the suave dragon, he was contamplating what should be done about that little town down yonder moutain. It was around this current point that he heard the slow sound of song wafting up to his ear. It was a rather intriguing melody thought the rather old Waldorf, one that he had not heard for a very long time. The actual way in which the song went is not known but all that matters is that the dragon liked what he heard.
So rather slowly he got up off the sizable pile of dubloons on which he was sitting and made his way to the door of the cave. What his little, for a dragon anyway, eyes saw coming up the path to his cave was rather startling for the old Dragon. Sure he'd seen many bards, minstrels and other travelling purveyors of crappy music come up his path (no skinny little farts who cant sing out of their ass yet though *cough clay aiken *cough) but never had he seen one with such an odd instrument in tow.
Now would be a good time to mention that johnny did indeed play a most intersting instrument, that which was the zoozaphone. The zoozaphone is, depending on who you ask, either a really large and gangly looking mixture of pipes, flapping valves, and two small ducks or a piece of wax paper shoved into a straw. Regardless, it is known for being an extremly difficult instrument on which to play and especially master (the wax paper/straw form being obviously much harder, but then again its not that easy to train two ducks to quack in time while simultaneously playing small drum sets). Our man Johnny however had not only learned to play the zoozaphone but was considered one of the best players of the zoozaphone to ever leave his branch of the Greater Entertainers, Associated plumbers and Military Generals University. The intersting thing about the zoozaphone is that some say that when its played exceptionally well it tends to sound like what many believe a dragon would if it tried to sing while being half drunk and missing a leg (right or left, your choice).

Hello all out there in Internet land, this be my 14th postage!
Sorry about the rather sizeable gap in between posts as of late but ive been a tad on the busy side and it will probably only get worse. I will say though that these posts will come as often as i can and if its not good enough for you well all i have to say is "waffles". Hrmm yes well anyways on to the post.
Whats going on in my life? Well semseters coming to a close, hopefully on a good note especially due to the exams and junk ive been writing lately. Not looking forward to that big old chem exam coming up but hey theres nothing i can do about it (well minus studying and such). So yeah thats that as they say.
A friend of mine just sent me probably one of the most unexpected things ive seen online in a good while, be sure to check it out and have sound cause its no fun without http://www.badgerbadgerbadger.com/
http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/22/
Hmm yes, well ive been doing a fair chunk of reading latley; mostly for fun now that i dont have to touch that damn self help book with a ten foot pole (damn you Zig Ziglar and you ways to reach sucess, DAMN YOOOUUU...) I must reccomend to anyone who enjoys a good laugh (and is ok with a few pokes at the church) the book "Small Gods" by Terry Pratchett, if you can find it, read it cause its really quite good.
The other thing that ive been doing latley, cant rember if ive mentioned it or not but ive been attempting to find this Def Leppard book full of all the songs from their second and third albums. Its a really good book and really rare appearantly, stupid ebay though; me and my lack of attention paying missed the fact that the auction ended in like 10min so i missed out on buying it. Ah well as mad as i am im sure ill find it somewhere.
Best song ive ever heard in a while though its Switch 625 by Def Leppard, if you like 80's rock i wholeheartedly reccomend getting it. This of course brings me to my current gripe, the quality of todays music. now you compare say todays punk rock to what was being played back in the day and the actual mechanics and technique are light years apart. All most groups nowadays do is just drop tune to D and play some power cords, those who dont know much about guitars ill tell you that doing that is nothing special, no real skill to it and its not all that intersting. Now im not saying that the 80's had the best musicians ever or something or that all of todays stuff stinks but older music did have much deeper guitar riffs to it, just look at some of the stuff by Van Halen and you'll know what i mean (granted Eddie was a genious but still). Yeah so dissapointed i are about music today, the world really needs some good writers of music again.
The current situation with the whole beef thing really gets my goat. Mostly due to the fact that America's just trying to pass the buck on us so that their own people dont look to their faulty protection system that allowed the infected cow to even get to slaughter, whereas in canada the cow was caught beforehand and no meat was ever tainted. And then youve got the great job that martins doing, not much better than waht chretien did but thats the point; its not like either of them did or has done a huge deal to try to fix this rather large issue but of course they wont, because it doesnt affect the mighty land of Ontario; stupid ottawa.
Well thats enough talk about politics and junk, now on to wahts going on in the liff of El Yurko. What really, really sucks is when you go through a load of crap in your life that you would really want to forget. Eventually you move on in life and after a few years you start to foget about it all, and life is good. But then along comes some crap that just happily digs up all those old thoughts and feelings that were happily buried away in parts of the mind that were better left alone. So now after going though a couple of years of not worrying about this particular crap, not dealing with it ect. its back in full force in my stupid old mind and i havent even dealt with this "thing" in a hell of along while. What really bugs me is that there isnt really any reason at all for me to care about whats happend dealing with this "thing" but my good old brain thinks that i should so i start caring again, getting pissed about stuff that i really shouldnt, and generally caring about what i shouldnt. This really angers me because it wasnt really a happy time, and its something that when looking back on, i really really could have done without. So yeah, thats basically the downside of life right now, mostly because of the fact that im caring/getting jealous over crap that isnt there, all in my mind or stuff that after this long i should even give a damn about.
Hmm well tahts basically it, that and ive repeated myself a few times i think so thats all for today. Ill probably add another section to the story tomorrow seeing as how ive got to go do some homework so till next time.

Hello all to lucky post numero 13! Sorry bout that long stretch with no postage on this here sight (because im so sure that people care) {boy sarcasm doesnt carry well in type}. Yes well anywas there hasnt been a great deal of postage due to the lack of interesting things happening in my world.
Yes i know you probably going to hear about all sorts of intersesting goings on about new years and such on other blogs and such but for me thats not the case. The extent of my "rocking" new years eve was watching the much more retro maraton on much more music. yes there was some good music on there but a fun evening not so much. See i could have went to a new years eve party that a friend was throwing (that turned out to be one crazy ass party and would have been loads of fun) but instead through guilt or something of that sort i decided to opt out and stay at home and do what our family traditionally has done on new years; go for chinese followed by the latest edition of the lord of the rings. But what made it "great" is that through various reasons we ended up having to get take out chinese and no movie seeage; thats why the extent of my night was watching old 80's music videos whoooo..ooo..ooh! (cough cough)
Yes well moving on from the crappyness of my night of a new year, whats new in yurkos life? hmm well ive finally finished that damn chem project which is due when i get back. Im kinda saddened because i had planned to make it in the style of a cheesy 50's era information brochure, much like those old cornball educational movies. The plan was to have all sorts of cheesy jokes, the chem info and to find some old style drawings that looked like what you would see in those films. Not only that i had planned to throw in the occasional anti communist comment to make it seem like one of those 50's american propaganda films. Instead i couldnt find any of those pictures except for one, the humour never really came across and on a whole it was really dissapointing. But hey the project is happily done so what do i care.
In other news though im still slogging away on that stupid self help book which just wont die. Im thinking that ill just see how far i can get tomorrow and if i dont finish the book then ill just make up 2 and a half pages worth of bs. hopefully that will be more than enough for my calc teacher. That and i really should start studying for all my tests in the upcoming week cause that would be a definite good thing to do well on, you know passing and all.
Yes ive also seen that the viewership on this site has now cracked the 200 mark, now i would be rejoicing alot more just like i did for 100 if it wasnt for the fact that i think that only a few people are checking the site a lot of the time, hey not that im complaining; a few fans are still better than no fans but it would still be great that if your reading this to just leave some sort of small comment cause it would really feel good to to know that someone out there is appreaciating this. But hey this plead for commenting will probably fall on deaf ears like the all my other requests, cant fault a guy for trying though.
I must admit though, ive been so bored these last few days that ive been re-reading all the old comments on this site, well mostly the ones by my friend jenn cause shes the only one who really comments. regardless though she did have a pretty good idea a while back on about starting up a story or something and doing a paragraph or such per post. Who knows it might be slightly fun and it may draw some more comments than i currently get so why not. Oh i must warn any and all that as you probably know by now i dont have the best spelling and/or grammar skills so keep that in mind, that and im pretty sure that a good chunk of the time this story will only make sense to me and will only be found humourous to me but hey it should be fun.
So here goes
One more thing i just checked and im finally listed on Globe of Blogs, hooray! Might bring more people, although i really should change the description, makes me seem like a bitter whining crank but hey ill get around to it; that or the site will eventually.

"There once was a man from Nantucket..."
Johnny loved to start his speeches off with that old "classic" of a tale (one the author personally doesnt know but everyone else seems to). Now this might have something to do with Johnny's genetics, or maby the fact that he spent 4 years in an exchange program being taught by a group of semi-intelligent dingos. The point is that their is no point and other than mentioing Johnny the previous has nothing to do with the story.
Now Johnny or Johny as he is usually called by his friends was a bard of sorts who would go from town to town telling tales of woe and such (you know, the usual junk that the greater bards union allows for their members to tell to small town folk). Often this would grant Johnny the luxury of some small chunks of old bread and a coin or two and he would be on his way. Such was not the case this fine old morning for poor old Johnny.
You see Johnny happened upon a small town which has the unfortunate situation of being located close to a dragon. Every so often this quaint little town would be ravaged, terrorised and the like by the dragon. Houses would be burned down, people eaten (the dragon was actually a vegetarian but he did allow himself the occasional human on the principle of things of course) and little dogs squished. Of course these rampages were more for effect, seeing as how the dragon didnt really make any sort of profit from the endevours but one must keep up appearances.
Well as you can surley imagine the villagers weren't all to keen on this arrangement. Constant repairs of the town and replacement of dogs; although good for the construction and pet industry respectivley; was starting to get a tad costly. So the all the members of this quaint mountain village (did i mention the town was in the mountains? thought i did but if not i have now) got together and decided that instead of having the annual ravaged by the dragon festival (a name coined by the joint pet shop-Carpentry union local 452 located in the town) why not take one of the many minstrals that often appear around the time and offer that as tribute to the dragon? Their hope was that the dragon would be pleased enough by this gift that it would be able to perchance pass up on a nice evening of house burning and dog squishing.
As you can now tell this is where poor Johnny comes back into the story. For Johnny happened upon this town at the exact moment that they were planning on sending up another appetizer to dear old Mr. Dragon. After preforming the union appointed set of sappy stories and badly written balads (or multi platnum pop songs, whatever you want to call them) the crafty townsfolk told poor Johnny that upon yonder mountain (The mayor of this particular town felt that by throwing in random words like yonder it make him sound smarter, not like this particular author or anything) there was a very rich man who had mountains of old dry bread and would love to hear some crappy (or american idol quality; whichever you prefer) music. The mayor and townsfolk also assured poor Johnny that he would be hansomly rewarded.
Now Johnny's not the kind of bard who is willing to pass up a good chunk of old dry bread so he happily agreed to go play his particular brand of music to this rich old man on the mountain. So off he set up the mountain path to what the villagers assured him would be a rewarding performance.
Unbeknownst to Johnny he was as it stood marching up the mountain to meet a rather hungry dragon (hungry of course for some soybean paste and lentles, but this being the middle ages of sorts the author has his doubts whether or not the dragon will get what he wants). Sadly other than the rather foul smelling villagers only a few moths and a semi-intelligent colony of ants knew what fate this young bard was walking into. Of course the moths werent really in a great position to warn poor Johnny about the oncoming dragon; they being distracted by deep thoughts about nectar and why you cant sucessfully mate with those damn butterfly's. The Ants on the otherhand would have gladly warned our Hero of sorts, of the oncoming danger had it not been for the fact that Johnny is unable to speak ant and this particular colony of semi-intelligent ants were preoccupied with their recent discovery of fire (which ironically lead to their downfall as the fire that they recently discovered attracted the attention of a rare breed of anteaters whose eyes are sensitive to insect created combustion {funny story about those anteaters, remind me to tell you sometime}).
